This is a list of notable individuals born in Cuba of Lebanese ancestry or people of Lebanese and Cuban dual nationality who live or resided in Cuba.


Lebanese-Cuban sports manager

Yamil Chade (born c. 1921 – died April 25, 2009) was a part Lebanese, part Cuban and Puerto Rican sports team owner and athlete manager.

Yamil Chade was born in Lebanon. He spent his teenage years in Cuba, but by his 20s he had moved to Puerto Rico, where some of his ancestors came from. By the late 1940s, Chade became interested in boxing; although he himself had no interest in getting into boxing as a participator, he gained a license to manage boxers while still a relatively young man. One of the first boxers that Chade managed was Kid Gavilán. On May 17, 1951, Gavilán became Chade’s first world boxing champion when he defeated Johnny Saxton by a decision in fifteen rounds to win the world Welterweight title. By then, Chade had become a fixture around boxing circles in the Eastern coast of the United States.

Chade died on April 25, 2009 in Puerto Rico, aged 88.


Taufic Eduardo Guarch Rubio (October 4, 1991) is a Mexican footballer of Cuban and Lebanese descent.

Jamillette Gaxiola – Miss Cuba 2009

Jamillette Gaxiola (born 1989 in Mazatlán, México) is a beauty pageant contestant who represented Cuba in the 2009 Miss Earth pageant, held on November 2009.

Personal life
The daughter of Mexican Sergio Gaxiola Fajardo and Cuban-born Judith Kremets Liwants of Lebanese descent, Jamillette currently attends Community College in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she lives with her family. She attended Cimarron-Memorial High School. She is currently a cast member of the hit reality TV show The Shores on the TV Guide Channel.

Gaxiola began participating in local pageants at age three. At the age of eighteen, she competed in Señorita Republica Deportiva 2007 produced by Univision where she placed 2nd runner-up. A year later, she competed in Miss Mexico USA as Miss Sinaloa. Because she is of Cuban descent on her mothers side, Jamillette was eligible to represent that country in Miss Earth 2009.

Jamillette Gaxiola is the current Miss Cuba Grand International 2013.
Miss Grand International 2013 Top 10 Finalist.


Lili Estefan (born March 20, 1967) is a well-known Cuban model and show host, currently the host of El Gordo y la Flaca on Univision.
